Description
The Yamaha MS101-4 is a compact powered monitor speaker for desktop monitoring, small practice setups and speech reinforcement. It suits users who need a simple active speaker for keyboards, mixers or presentation audio in a limited space. Its 4 inch full-range driver and bass-reflex cabinet keep the footprint small while covering everyday monitoring tasks.
It uses a 30 W Class-D amplifier and a single 4 inch full-range driver with a 1 inch voice coil. The frequency range is 77 Hz to 20 kHz, and maximum output reaches 115 dB SPL. It offers a combo XLR-1/4 input, plus 3.5 mm and 1/4 inch TRS inputs, with HF and LF shelf adjustment.
In practice, the MS101-4 can sit on a desk, near a keyboard or beside a mixer for close-range monitoring. It can also be mounted using the two M5 points on the bottom panel. In the box are the powered speaker and a power cord. It operates from 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
