Description
The Tiffen 49mm Glimmerglass 1 Filter is a screw-in softening filter for photographers who want a gentle diffusion effect on portraits and close-up work. It suits users looking to reduce the appearance of skin detail while keeping an image natural enough for everyday camera use. The filter also adds a subtle sparkle when viewed from the front, which can help create a more confident on-set appearance.
This 49 mm grade 1 filter uses ColorCore glass construction and is designed to produce glowing highlights with a light softening effect. It softens skin details and adds a mild diffusion look without changing the basic setup of the lens. The 49 mm thread size also matches the front lens cap size, which makes handling straightforward when moving between shooting and storage.
In practice, the filter screws onto a 49 mm lens and works with other 49 mm accessories. It is suited to lenses with the same front thread size, and the box includes one Tiffen 49mm Glimmerglass 1 Filter. It is a compact option for portrait, beauty, and general stills work where a softer look is wanted without changing lenses.
