Description
The Neutrik NE8FF is an etherCON RJ45 feed-through coupler for cable extensions. It suits network, audio and lighting setups that need a secure way to join RJ45 cables while keeping the connection format consistent. It accepts standard RJ45 plugs and NE8MC plugs, so it works well where etherCON and regular network cable need to meet.
It uses a female adapter design with 8 contacts and latch lock retention. The coupler is rated for 1 to 100 MHz, 1.5 A per contact and less than 50 V, with dielectric strength of 1 kVdc. It also has contact resistance under 10 mΩ, insulation resistance above 0.5 GΩ and a lifetime of more than 1000 mating cycles. The unit measures 63 mm and weighs 62 g.
In use, it links two cables together for a longer run without changing the connector type at the ends. It pairs with NE8MC or any standard RJ45 plug.
