Description
The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is a compact digital cinema camera for shooters who want a Micro Four Thirds body with a large 4/3 sensor and direct control over video capture. It suits solo operators, small crews and filmmakers who need a camera for documentary work, studio use or run and gun filming.
It records DCI 4K up to 60 fps, 2.8K anamorphic raw up to 80 fps and up to 2.6K 120 fps for Super16 lenses. The camera uses a 4/3 CMOS sensor measuring 18.96 x 10 mm, has 13 stops of dynamic range, native ISO from 100 to 25,600 and a 5 inch touchscreen. It also includes stereo microphones and a Micro Four Thirds lens mount with lens communication.
In practice, it works with Micro Four Thirds lenses and can also suit Super16 lenses when higher frame rates are needed. It records to CFast or SD UHS-II cards and can send video over HDMI or USB-C. In the box are the camera, a DaVinci Resolve Studio activation key, a Canon LP-E6 type battery, a 30W power supply with international adapters and a dust cap.
