About the Flashlight Batteries & Chargers range
Choose the battery format specified by your torch first, then compare chemistry, voltage, capacity and discharge rating. Common rechargeable formats include AA, 18650 and 21700. Capacity, measured in mAh, indicates how much charge a cell stores and generally affects runtime. High-drain torches also need a suitable continuous discharge rating. Check whether the device requires a protected cell, and do not substitute lithium-ion batteries for Ni-MH or alkaline AA batteries unless the torch manufacturer permits it. For chargers, compare supported battery types, charging current, USB or USB-C input, slot count and charge-status indicators.
Compatibility depends on more than the battery length and diameter. An 18650 and a 21700 are different sizes, and a charger or torch may accept only one of them. Some cells are button-top or flat-top, while protected cells can be longer than unprotected versions. Check the torch manual or product page for the exact format, voltage and cell type before ordering. This range is organised around replaceable flashlight batteries and chargers, including USB-C rechargeable AA cells, 18650 and 21700 lithium-ion batteries, and dual or four-slot intelligent chargers.
Flashlight Batteries & Chargers questions
How do I know which battery fits my torch?
Check the torch manual or its product specifications for the required battery format, chemistry and voltage. An 18650 cell will not fit every torch designed for a 21700, and protected, button-top or USB-charging versions can be longer than standard cells. Match all stated requirements before buying.
Can I charge 18650 and 21700 batteries in the same charger?
Only if the charger specifications list both formats. Some intelligent chargers support several cylindrical lithium-ion sizes, while others are designed for a narrower range. Check slot dimensions, supported chemistry and charging voltage. Do not assume that a charger accepting 18650 cells will also accept 21700 cells.
Are rechargeable AA batteries suitable for every AA torch?
No. Rechargeable AA cells can use different chemistries and nominal voltages, including Ni-MH and lithium-based designs. Confirm that the torch supports the battery type before use. USB-C rechargeable AA batteries may also include built-in charging electronics, so they are not interchangeable with every rechargeable AA charger.
