Start with the activity and mounting surface. Helmet chin mounts need a suitable helmet shape and secure contact, while bicycle and tube clamps must match the rail or tube diameter. For boards, check that the adhesive base suits the surface and allow it to bond as directed. Compare the camera connection, such as a two-prong or three-prong action-camera fitting, included adapters, adjustment range, clamp strength and overall camera weight. Consider the viewpoint, vibration, water exposure and whether quick camera removal matters during use.
Check the product page for the camera models and mounting hardware supported. A mount made for a GoPro-style fork may need an adapter for another camera, while a DJI or other three-prong connection may not attach directly to every camera. Helmet mounts are not interchangeable across all helmet designs, and chin clips, adhesive mounts and strap systems fit different surfaces. Will these sports mounts fit my DJI Osmo Action camera?

Can I use a motorcycle helmet chin mount on any helmet?
No. Chin mounts are generally designed for particular helmet shapes, often full-face motorcycle or similar helmets. Check that the clip or adhesive pads sit securely without interfering with the visor, vents, straps or protective structure. Do not drill into or modify a helmet.
Are surfboard mounts waterproof and reusable?
A surfboard mount is designed for attachment to a board, but the adhesive and mounting hardware still need to be installed according to the product instructions. Water resistance applies to the mount or adhesive system, not necessarily the camera. Check the camera and housing limits separately, and inspect the mount before each use.
