About YC Onion
A YoloBox is an all in one live streaming encoder, switcher and monitor, and it often works in the field where knocks and pulled cables are a risk. The YC Onion YoloBox Pro Cage wraps the unit in a frame with multiple 1/4 inch 20 threads, two cold shoe mounts for lights, microphones or handles, and seven adjustable cable clamps along the top plate. All YoloBox Pro ports stay accessible with the cage fitted. The YoloBox Ultra Cage uses an aluminium alloy frame with 1/4 inch screw holes and adjustable cable clamps.
Buy the cage that matches your encoder, because the YoloBox Pro and YoloBox Ultra have different bodies and the cages are not interchangeable. Once fitted, use the 1/4 inch threads to attach the unit to a tripod, light stand, magic arm or handle, and use the cold shoe mounts on the Pro cage for a small light or wireless receiver. Run HDMI, USB and network cables through the clamps so a tug does not pull a connector out mid stream. The Pro cage ships with the tools needed for assembly.

Does the YoloBox Pro Cage fit the YoloBox Ultra?
No. YC Onion makes separate cages for each YoloBox model. Choose the YoloBox Pro Cage for the Pro and the YoloBox Ultra Cage for the Ultra, since the frames are shaped around each unit's body and port layout.
Can I still reach the ports with the cage fitted?
Yes. The YoloBox Pro Cage is designed so all YoloBox Pro ports can still be reached, and its seven adjustable cable clamps hold HDMI and other leads in place so they do not work loose during a stream.
How do I mount a caged YoloBox?
Use the 1/4 inch 20 threads on the cage to fix it to a tripod, light stand, arm or handle. The Pro cage also has two cold shoe mounts for accessories such as a compact LED light or a wireless microphone receiver.
