About Wacom
Wacom pens use replaceable nibs that wear down with use, and the nib type changes how the pen feels on the tablet surface. Standard nibs are plain black tips that give a smooth glide. Hard felt nibs add friction for a feel closer to pencil on paper, which many illustrators prefer for sketching. The Grip Pen is one of Wacom's 2048 pressure level pens, listed in its accessory chart alongside the Art Pen and Airbrush Pen, and our listing includes a pen stand and spare nibs.
Match nibs to your pen before you order. Wacom's accessory compatibility chart lists the Standard Pen Nibs and Hard Felt Pen Nibs five packs with its 2048 pressure level pens such as the Grip Pen, while the Pro Pen 2 uses its own separate standard and felt nib packs. If you draw on a Cintiq or other pen display, check the user manual before fitting felt nibs, since extra friction can mark some screen surfaces. Keep the stand on your desk so the pen and spare nibs stay together between sessions.
Wacom questions
Will these nibs fit my Wacom Pro Pen 2?
No. Wacom sells separate standard and felt nib packs for the Pro Pen 2. The standard and hard felt five packs we stock are listed for Wacom's 2048 pressure level pens, including the Grip Pen. Check your pen model name before ordering.
Why choose hard felt nibs over standard nibs?
Hard felt nibs add friction against the tablet surface, giving a drag closer to pencil on paper. Standard nibs glide more freely. Felt nibs can wear some pen display screens, so Cintiq owners should read the user manual first.
How many pressure levels does the Grip Pen have?
Wacom's accessory chart lists the Grip Pen at 2048 pressure levels. It was designed for the Intuos4 generation, so confirm your tablet supports this pen before buying it as a replacement or a second pen.
