About Move 'N See
The PIXIO robot sits between a tripod and your camera and pans to keep the subject in frame. Three micro-beacons placed around the filming area locate the watch worn by the subject, and the robot turns the camera to follow it at distances up to 100 metres. With a compatible camera connected by the supplied cable, PIXIO also adjusts zoom automatically, and zoom in and zoom out controls let you change the framing during a take. Move 'N See's current range also includes PIXEM 2 for individual athletes and PIX4TEAM 2 for team sports.
Check your camera first. PIXIO supports cameras up to 2.5 kg, mounts to a tripod with a standard 3/8 inch screw and takes the camera on a 1/4 inch screw, so most camcorders and mirrorless cameras fit. Automatic zoom only works with cameras that accept remote zoom control, so confirm yours before relying on it. Place the beacons as the manual describes before each session, and use a stable tripod outdoors. The robot connects to a smartphone app over Bluetooth, and firmware updates load from a micro-SD card.
Move 'N See questions
How does PIXIO know where to point the camera?
The subject wears the PIXIO watch, and three micro-beacons set up around the filming area locate it. The robot then pans the camera to follow the watch, at distances of up to 100 metres from the robot.
What camera can I put on the PIXIO robot?
The robot supports cameras up to 2.5 kg on a 1/4 inch screw, which covers most camcorders and mirrorless cameras. For automatic zoom, the camera needs to accept remote zoom control through the supplied cable.
What comes in the box?
According to the PIXIO manual, the kit includes the robot, three micro-beacons with mini tripods, the watch and wristband, a USB charger, a wireless charger for the watch and USB cables. A tripod for the robot itself is not listed.
