Description
The NUX C-5RC is a 5.8 GHz wireless guitar system for players who want a cable-free connection between their instrument and amp or pedalboard. It suits electric guitar, bass, and acoustic-electric instruments with piezo or magnetic pickups. The system is designed for straightforward use on stage, in rehearsal rooms, or at home, with a compact transmitter and receiver plus a charging case for travel and storage.
It works with 24-bit / 44.1 kHz audio and has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Latency is less than 5.5 ms, and THD+noise is less than 0.2% at 1 kHz. Range is up to 30 metres line-of-sight, depending on the environment. The transmitter and receiver each use a 500mAh / 3.7V battery and run for more than 4 hours, while the power case holds a 3000mAh / 3.7V battery.
In practice, the C-5RC is used as a plug-in wireless link between a guitar or bass and the rest of the rig. The fast-matching system helps set it up quickly, and auto-sleep mode engages after 10 minutes without operation. It pairs with active and passive electric guitar and bass, plus acoustic-electric guitars with piezo or magnetic pickup.
