About the Reflectors range
Start with the working size and the subject. A 32-inch reflector suits headshots and small subjects, while a 42-inch model covers more of a portrait and gives softer, broader fill. Five-in-one designs commonly combine white for neutral, diffused fill, silver for stronger directional reflection, gold for warmer reflected light, black for reducing spill, and translucent material for diffusion. Handles can make a circular reflector easier to position. Compare the collapsed size, included covers, frame shape and whether you will usually work alone or with an assistant.
Check whether you need a reflector disc, a framed scrim or a reflector for a light modifier. Collapsible discs are portable and quick to set up, while solid-frame scrims provide a larger, stable surface for studio or location lighting. The Godox RFT-1 is a Bowens Mount reflector for compatible lights, not a handheld bounce panel. Confirm the mount, open dimensions and mounting method before ordering. The range here covers SmallRig circular reflectors, Westcott and Matthews scrims, Manfrotto scrim kits, and Godox reflector hardware.
Reflectors questions
What size photography reflector should I buy?
A 32-inch reflector is practical for headshots, close portraits and portable work. A 42-inch reflector covers more of the subject and can produce broader fill. For full-length portraits, groups or larger scenes, compare framed scrims and their stated dimensions rather than relying on a collapsible disc.
What is the difference between white, silver, gold, black and translucent reflector surfaces?
White gives soft, neutral fill. Silver reflects more light with a harder, more directional result. Gold adds warmth and can affect skin colour. Black absorbs or flags light to deepen shadows and control spill. Translucent material diffuses light rather than bouncing it back.
Will a photography reflector fit my flash or studio light?
A handheld reflector does not attach to a light. It is positioned separately to bounce or diffuse light. A reflector such as the Godox RFT-1 uses a Bowens Mount, so it requires a compatible Bowens Mount light. Check the exact mount and light compatibility before purchase.
