About Think Tank
The Emergency Rain Cover (Medium) fits a standard or gripped camera body with a 24-70mm f/2.8 or 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. It is 48 cm long with an adjustable diameter of 8 to 14 cm, weighs 114 g, and is made from seam-sealed 70D taffeta rip-stop with polyurethane film and a DWR coating. A large window shows the screen and controls, a cinchable sleeve gives hand access, and a non-slip strap attaches to the lens hood. It packs into its own pouch. Red Whips V2.0 come 12 to a pack, 10 at 16 cm and 2 at 19 cm, made from high-density elastic cord with a cord lock slider.
The rain cover is sized by lens, so match it to what you shoot with most: the medium suits standard zooms and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses on bodies with or without a grip. Because it packs small, it can live in a bag pocket for sudden weather at events, sport or travel. Check the cover's 48 cm length against longer telephoto setups before relying on it. Red Whips suit laptop chargers, camera battery chargers, audio leads and monitor cables, and the bright red colour makes them easy to spot in a dark bag. They pair well with cable pouches and bag organisers when you pack for a shoot.
Think Tank questions
Will the medium Emergency Rain Cover fit a 70-200mm lens?
Yes. Think Tank lists the medium size for a standard or gripped camera body with a 24-70mm f/2.8 or a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. It is 48 cm long, and the diameter adjusts from 8 to 14 cm to suit the lens.
Can I see the camera screen through the rain cover?
Yes. The Emergency Rain Cover has a large clear viewing window for the LCD screen and controls, and a cinchable sleeve lets you reach the camera. A non-slip strap attaches to the lens hood and the cover also fixes to the hot shoe.
How many Red Whips are in a pack?
Each Red Whips V2.0 pack holds 12 elastic cable ties: 10 regular ties at 16 cm and 2 longer ties at 19 cm. Each uses a cord lock slider, so you can tighten or release a bundle of cables quickly with one hand.
