About Summit Creative
Both Tenzing packs share the same carry system: an inverted U-shaped aluminium frame with a moulded 3D EVA back panel, S-shaped shoulder straps, an adjustable chest strap and a removable waist strap. Summit Creative uses YKK zips, Duraflex buckles and water-repellent nylon, and a rain cover is included. The Tenzing 25L is a zip-top pack measuring 49 x 29 x 20 cm and weighing 2.3 kg, with rear access and a quick left-side opening to the camera compartment. The Tenzing Rolltop 30L measures 53 x 29 x 20 cm, weighs 2.35 kg, and has a roll-top section that adds about 5 litres of storage above the camera area.
Pick the 25L if you mainly carry a camera body, a few lenses and a laptop, and want the lighter, more compact pack. The Rolltop 30L suits longer walks where you also need a jacket, food or a drone, since the roll-top section expands for extra gear and keeps it apart from the camera insert. Both packs take a laptop or tablet up to 14 inches and have rear and side access, so you can reach the camera without putting the bag face down in mud. A tripod mounts on either side or the front. Bottom straps are sold separately, and lens pouches or extra dividers help organise smaller kit.
Summit Creative questions
Will a laptop fit in the Tenzing backpacks?
Yes. Both the Tenzing 25L and the Tenzing Rolltop 30L have a laptop and tablet compartment that takes devices up to 14 inches. Larger 15 or 16 inch laptops will need a bigger bag, so measure yours before ordering.
Are Tenzing backpacks waterproof?
They are built for wet weather rather than submersion. Summit Creative uses water-repellent nylon fabric and YKK zips, and each Tenzing pack includes a rain cover. Fit the cover in heavy or prolonged rain to keep cameras and lenses dry.
What is the difference between the Tenzing 25L and Rolltop 30L?
The 25L is a zip-top pack at 49 x 29 x 20 cm. The Rolltop 30L is taller at 53 x 29 x 20 cm and adds a roll-top section with about 5 litres of extra space. They weigh about the same, at 2.3 and 2.35 kg.
