About Pelican Trimcast
Spacecases are moulded from UV stabilised, food-grade polyethylene and are resistant to dust, oil, chemicals and water. The design is modular, stackable and interlocking, and the cases will not rust or dent. In the Modular 550/1100 range every case interlocks and cross-stacks with the others in the series, and the sizes are designed to suit ISO standard pallets, racks and shipping containers. Optional tray kits are available for all 550 series cases. The L08 suffix in the product code means an external lid height of 80 mm. Standard colours are Trim Blue and Trim Grey.
Choose by the internal size of the gear you need to carry. The BG055055045L08 measures 550 x 550 x 450 mm outside, 490 x 490 x 405 mm inside, with a 470 x 440 mm opening, and weighs 8 kg empty. The BG110055067L08 measures 1100 x 550 x 675 mm outside, 1025 x 475 x 630 mm inside, with a 1020 x 440 mm opening, and weighs 21 kg empty. Two 550 cases side by side share the footprint of one 1100 case, so mixed stacks stay square. Pelican lists accessories such as trays, foam liner kits, trolleys, humidity indicators and pressure relief valves.

Is Pelican Trimcast the same company as Pelican Products?
Trimcast was an Australian-owned case maker that Pelican Products bought in 2011. Trimcast kept manufacturing its Spacecase line after the purchase, and Pelican describes Spacecases as designed and manufactured in Australia.
Do Spacecases from the 550/1100 range stack together?
Yes. Pelican states that all cases in the Modular 550/1100 range interlock and cross-stack with other cases in the same series, and the range is sized for ISO standard pallets, racks and shipping containers. Cases from the Box General range only interlock with the same footprint.
What does L08 mean in a Spacecase product code?
In Pelican's Spacecase codes the L number refers to the external lid height, so L08 is an 80 mm lid and L30 is a 300 mm lid. The rest of the code gives the external length, width and height, roughly in centimetres.
