About Drawmer

A monitor controller sits between your audio interface and your speakers, giving you one volume knob and quick checks without reaching into software. The CMC2 takes balanced stereo input on 1/4 inch jacks plus a 3.5mm aux input with its own level control. It feeds two pairs of stereo monitors and a mono subwoofer output, and includes a headphone amplifier. Dim, mono, phase reverse and mute switches help you check mixes for balance and mono compatibility. It comes in an all-steel case with a Kensington security slot.

Before ordering, check your interface outputs and speaker inputs: balanced 1/4 inch TRS cables give the cleanest connection to the CMC2, and your speakers may need TRS to XLR leads. Two speaker outputs let you compare main monitors with a small reference pair, which helps mixes translate to other systems. Use the mono switch to catch phase problems, and the dim switch for talkback or quick conversations. The CMC2 runs from a 15 volt external power supply, so plan a power point near the desk.

Drawmer questions

Why use a monitor controller like the Drawmer CMC2?

It gives you a physical volume control and speaker switching between your interface and monitors. You can compare two pairs of speakers, check mono, dim or mute instantly, and run a headphone feed, all without opening software or changing interface settings mid-session.

Can the CMC2 connect a subwoofer?

Yes. The CMC2 has a mono subwoofer output alongside its two stereo monitor outputs. Set your subwoofer's crossover and level to suit your main speakers, then check that the low end stays balanced when you switch between speaker pairs.

Where are Drawmer products made?
